The Assam Administrative Staff College has the following 6 centers:
1. Center for e-Governance
To meet the challenge of capacity building in the field of e-Governance Assam Administrative Staff College has set up a Centre for e-Governance. The anticipated benefit of the Centre is that it will act as a Learning Resource Centre (LRC) in the field of e-Governance which will help the Government functionaries at various levels in improving their capacities in design, development, implementation/operationalisation and evaluation of e-Governance systems.
2. Center for Law and Justice & Human Rights
The Centre for Law, Justice & Human Rights was established as per the recommendation of the Board of Management, Assam Administrative staff College Society. The basic purpose of the centre is to enhance legal research and suggest measures to minimise the litigation against the government Departments and befitting handling of the cases in courts of Law.
3. Center for Innovation and Future Studies
The Centre for Innovation and Future Studies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Centre for Innovation in Public Systems, Hyderabad for promoting and disseminating best practices in governance.
4. Center for Leadership Development
The Centre aims to foster, nurture and even provoke leadership qualities in participants of its programmes by innovative training through exposure on various elements of leadership skills, tools and techniques and incubating through research generation of leadership capacity in every level of governance architecture for effective governance in the rapidly changing environment.
5. Center for Sustainable Development
Center for Sustainable Development is a think-tank which provides research and technical support to all departments in the Government of Assam, to take forward their SDG targets. In doing so, the Centre for SDGs, AASC is mandated to facilitate the key stakeholders in the state’s SDG initiative with guidance & technical support towards designing & implementing comprehensive policy & strategy and also in designing and putting in place an effective monitoring & evaluation system for timely recording of progress made in the state of Assam towards achieving the SDGs. The centre is also mandated to intervene to facilitate capacity building of government functionaries and provide skills and expertise on the goals and targets by acting as an interface between the state government and other key stakeholders such as international organisations, higher institutions and agencies, academicians, corporates, civil societies etc.
6. Center for Financial Management
The objective of the Centre for Financial Management is to create a conducive environment for imparting training on financial management which primarily comprises two divisions viz expenditure management and resource mobilization.
